Anolyte Header

These FRP / GRP Headers are the most important piece of equipment of a Chlor-Alkali plant apart from the Membrane cells. Chlorine generated in the Membrane cells flows into the Chlorine header along with NaCl brine at around 90 deg. C. These headers are manufactured by the band wound technique using Viapal resin system or alternatively using CPVC-FRP / GRP.

Depending on the Electrolyser, several nozzles are attached to the pipe and laminated with the same resin system. In case of CPVC-FRP Headers spark test is carried out for welding to ensure leak-proofness.

Catholyte Header

Like the Chlorine Headers, these GRP Headers are also the most important piece of equipment of a Chlor-Alkali plant apart from the Membrane cells. Hydrogen generated in the Membrane cells flows into the Hydrogen Header along with NaOH at around 90 deg. C. These headers are made up of PP-FRP and are manufactured by the band wound technique.
