Since FRP is an industry wherein molder prepares raw material as well as finished products, quality testing is very stringent since it affects the final products. “SUSHAR has carried out following testing of raw materials and on finished products to ensure the quality product For every product Overall & Stage wise Quality Assurance Plan is prepared & tests/inspections are carried out at various stages.
For Fabrication of FRP/GRP Equipments the following Tests/Checks are carried out :
Raw Material Testing & Records
- Checking of physical properties with respect to supplier’s Test Certificate
- Checking of Gel Time for all grades of Resin
- Checking of all bought outs
- Record of Resin type & quantity
- Record of Glass type & quantity
In Process Testing & Records
- Laminate Testing for various properties like tensile strength, barcol hardness etc.
- Checks on layup sequence for glass content
- Internal in process inspection reports
- Spark test for thermoplastic lined equipments
- Thickness measurement
- Weld strength & Bond strength
- Record of layers & type of glass
- Record of in process inspection
- Records of barcol hardness test, tensile strength test, unit modulus, lap shear strength, bond strength & ash test on cut-out
